Most of the sheet was unsalvagable, but the monogram was intact.  And it is Amazing!  Thickly padded and raised stitches, with elaborate wheat sheaves.  The center seam on the sheet (and hence, the pillow) suggests it dates to pre-1890 (until about 1890 or so, looms were much smaller, so a sheet would be seamed together down the middle).  

Dyed a dark ink blue.  The back of the pillow is pieced from sections of the rest of the sheet (see pictures); a snap enclosure on the right side.  Fits a 13" x 20" pillow insert*.
