A native of Georgetown, Texas, I spent my youth in Austin.  I studied and trained as a mathematician and taught mathematics for ten years, most recently at Seattle University.  While still teaching full-time, I began weaving in 1997 and designing my original art works in 2001, adding dyeing and hand spinning in 2002 and 2003.
