The result of spending six weeks studying hummingbirds in the cloud forests of Costa Rica, this series captures the colors, feather patterns and iridescence of hummingbirds.  Woven at roughly 15" x 15" each, with a pattern of tiny, tiny "feathers", each weaving captures the colors of a specific hummingbird (e.g. "The Violet Saberwing Hummingbird", "The Coppery-headed Emerald Hummingbird", "The Magnificent Hummingbird").  Additionally, and most astonishingly, the colors in the weaving change as the viewer's angle changes and even as the light changes.
